Colors seem easy to express in a photograph. Once they are captured, they tend to be expressed beautifully. I took pictures with different colors mix and matching. First picture was matched with blue and red, second picture was taken with different colored cage and I took third picture with different colored clothes in the back.

Light
Light can be controlled very easily. I decided to have light shown from all different directions. I tried light directly on the material, light behind a material and also a spot of light on a certain part of the material. The third type of light created a dark mood.
Pattern
Patterns took forever for me to get one decent picture. I thought patterns would be easy to express in a photograph, but turns out it was the hardest to achieve good pictures. I believe it has something to do with the fact that the patterns are too common. I took picture of the material in front of a pattern and on the side of a pattern. Another image is from the class experimenting day, I took a picture of the blue bench across the yard from the classroom.
Texture
Textures were the most interesting element to explore with. I took picture of the owl up close, to photograph the texture of it. I took picture of the owl behind a laced cushion. Using the same owl and the laced cushion, I placed the owl in the front which created a little bit of depth of field and texture behind a subject.
